A sign reading “Xoş Gəlmisiniz” in Azerbaijani has been placed at the entrance of the Skokie Public Library in the city of Skokie, United States.
Seeing our native Azerbaijani language displayed in public spaces in America is truly heartwarming. We hope to see similar gestures more often in libraries and museums across the country.
The Azerbaijani-American Community of Illinois proudly holds its monthly meetings at this very library. The realization of such an initiative is the result of the dedicated efforts of community members who continuously work to preserve and promote our language, homeland, and cultural traditions.
